Assorted things..

I just squished a spider with a coffee mug. Well, it was in my house and the rules are clear – stay outside I won’t kill you. Venture in here and I am gonna dead you if I see you.

Interesting to note that a little visitor slash possible blog stalker who once tried to censor me has popped by again. Might I recommend you do something a little more useful than reading my blog? You’re not welcome here. Just so you know. Okie dokie then?

When I was growing up there was two movies my Mother refused to allow me to watch. Silence of the lambs (which I have seen and now can’t work out why she wouldn’t let me see it) and The Blue Lagoon – which starred one of my favourite actors, Christopher Atkins. I finally managed to see the whole thing this morning on one of the movie channels and I get why she wouldn’t let me see that – loads of nudity! OMG. There’s no way you could make this movie today, there would be too much outcry. It’s a really lovely movie though, I enjoyed it. And not just because of all the *male* nudity either.. ;)

I must do another movie review soon, just trying to decide which one it should be.. :)

The other half has had a big couple of days at work, which may mean a nice trip to JB Hifi soon, maybe.. ;)

Soooo bored..

I’ve loaded the dishwasher twice – and unloaded it.

I baked a cake.

I’ve made a start on two new paintings.

The other half and I have played pool.

There is NOTHING on TV, at all. Even pay tv. How is this possible? This is how desperate the situation is – I just watched a biography on Alan Alda. As much as I adore the man, I believe I’ve seen it at least twice before.

Lunch has been eaten. Dinner has been eaten. I’ve had dessert. Twice, once for lunch, once for dinner. I didn’t have breakfast but that’s because I don’t like breakfast. If I could have known how bored I would be later, I may have considered having it just for the entertainment of poaching eggs.

I’ve been trying to write some scripting for the lads but every cell I own is crying out – we is bored, get us out of here! It’s hard to come up with options of things to say to them when your cells are mourning the death of interesting.

I unpacked my cats calender for 2007. It has a cat on the first page that looks like my older cat. I am tempted to flick through and see what all the other pages have, but that would spoil the daily surprise.

I have no unread books. I have a few unseen dvd’s but no desire to see them. I watched The Green Mile last night – a fantastic movie but I’d seen it before. The ending had new meaning – how long does everyone walk their own green mile? I feel like today has been a year long all by itself. And I’ve only been up 12 hours.

By the time I went to bed last night I had sent 3 emails to Sephy – this is the kind of plotting we’re doing behind the scenes. We’re running a shitload of fake check baits, all at once. Almost 150 lads. I bought me a new skype in number specifically for these baits so the lads can get in touch and speak to me – this makes them more happy to send fake checks.

But the scammers are all on holiday – all the internet cafes are shut for at least 2 days. I’ve received 3 scammer emails since yesterday compared to the usual zillion million. Two of them were lads just saying Merry Christmas. Perhaps in a drunken emailing spree, who knows?

Not even Mcdonalds is open. The petrol station in town has run out of pies. That’s because the police turned up and bought all of them earlier, probably for those spending Christmas Day in the slammer. I know this not because I was at the petrol station. That’s how small this town is. I feel completely deprived of shopping. Is this the reason why so many people flock to the shops after they have been shut for one day? I have everything here that I need, but because I can’t go shopping I feel like I need to go shopping. That’s never happened to me before.

So they have a few marathons, but they picked all the boring shows to run this weekend, and next weekend I am spoilt for choice, including a COPS marathon. I love COPS. I think there should be a channel dedicated just to COPS. Yesterday I saw “Naked” cops, a special version they made just for naked people. However they blurred out the nakedness. I think that’s a little odd.

When we went up the street earlier the people next door to my parents had people visiting. I looked at the plates and said “Good, no interstate riff raff” then I realised – this time last year *WE* were interstate riff raff.. ;) Things have really changed in a year and I suddenly feel like this is going to hit me like a ton of bricks over New Year.

Santa brought me money and Lindt chocolates and Danish butter cookies. See what I mean about not celebrating this year? ;) I did not unwrap one single present. I did not *wrap* a single present. The reason for that is we didn’t have any wrapping paper and no shops to get any at. We did give two presents to my parents, and the other half decided to turn the boxes inside out being as we couldn’t wrap them. And yes, we briefly considered other options, such as taping together many sheets of a4 paper, wrapping them in junk mail catalogs or newspaper, and plastic bags. We got the parents a shredder and a wicked bin with automatic lid – a must for all germophobes like me.

Well, instead of boring you all with how bored I am, I’ll go annoy the cats, or something.. ;) or flick channels endlessly in a search for something.. anything..

Christmas, General Chit-chat

And now for something completely different..

As I type this now, it is pouring with rain. Since 9am we’ve had over 40 mm of rain, and the average for this month is just .3mm less than what we have had in just one day here today.

It’s a beautiful sound but very unusual for this time of year. I have not seen blue skies for some days now, but this is ok, we need the rain. I just hope some of it falls inland where they need it even more than we do.

Surprises..

Rabbitch posted about this yesterday, and now I’m laughing myself hysterical as well.. :)

As we were walking up the street to my parents for dinner tonight, we saw the little stray cat that likes to visit the windows of my house and upset the kitties and hide in the storm water drains when anyone approaches her, in the drain, with three little kittens. Four cute kitty faces looking up at us. I don’t think the kitty belongs to anyone, we think she might be feral but nobody knows for sure, and I’m torn between just letting them be, and reporting them to the RSPCA so the kittens can find good homes and hopefully the cat can too. Thoughts? One bad rain storm and they could all get drowned. :( But it is summer. But weather is unpredictable. I should leave some tuna outside on a plate for them. ;)

I really don’t like Rosie O’Donnell on the View, at all. I find her self-centred. If you watch it you’ll see, she often drags the conversation around to herself. Star Jones used to do the same thing, I can’t stand that. However, I did see Rosie on the Actor’s Studio and actually quite liked her. I don’t know whether it was because the show was supposed to be about her, for a change, or whether she was just less annoying.

I don’t watch much free to air television these days. In fact I do not even know how to make my tv show me the free to air channels, and it’s been that way since we moved in here. So I often miss out on stuff which people are seeing and raving about. Tonight Desperate Housewives began on W, one of the pay tv channels. It was the first episode, and surprisingly I really enjoyed it. I think I might buy the box set.. we’ll see how cheap it is.

We’ve been going to the beach a bit lately. There’s lots of good photos there. And when you have the below not very far from your doorstep, you really have no excuse..

So.. like.. sorry..

I’ve not been around too much this last week. I have been reading blogs but haven’t been feeling like commenting once I gave myself permission to have a week off from commenting which has extended into 9 days now.. ;) I’m going to be back to normal real soon but I’ve just been so behind with my scam-baiting and I wanted to get that all sorted out after taking so long away from it for nablopomo and stuff. We have a rental inspection next week, which has meant extra chores, too.. :(

So bear with me, don’t disown me just because I need a little me time.. ;)

The good news..

The good news is – number one, if you clear your firefox cache, your blogger will work again. Thanks to Sephy for advising me of this and for saving the squirrels.. :) and geez that’s a gorgeous pic of that Christmas Tree! Ya’all go look.

Number two, I have an Avon catalogue, at last. I been waiting a while. I need stuff.

Number three, I got me new plants, and planted them in pots today. I promise pics tomorrow, I swear, now blogger is working again.

So I’ll be back tomorrow with a combat strategy or few for fighting the war on Depression. In the meantime, one of the things I always do when I am feeling down is put on some music.

Thanks for your lovely emails and comments, I’m just crazy bout ya’all too.. ;)

Exhausted

Had a terrible sleep, due to nightmares of trucks rolling down cliffs. I believe I managed 4 hours in total. Then a long day of driving, in terrible weather, rain, low visibility.. and NO decent music because our little mp3 in the cigarette lighter thing would not work in the truck.. I’m so spoilt having that thing, and so used to it that 8 hours listening to the radio makes me want to dead people.

Not many photos were taken, not many stops were made, weather too bad. I now go to bed and sleep at least 12 hours. Be good ya’all, I’ll be back with the few pictures I did manage when I get up.. ;)

If you’re looking for something to read, have a look here – I posted it yesterday. And something is wrong with blogger, I could not make the link link. :( If that makes sense. GRRR

Uninspired

I’m not really feeling the most inspired today. We went shopping, cleaned out the fridge – a job that makes me quite antagonistic and snarky, and soon I’m going to go watch a dvd with the other half. It’s my pick today, I pick out 5 movies I’d like to see from the shelf, and then he chooses one for us to watch.

Tomorrow I am going to have a major blog commenting day, the other half will be at work so I’m setting myself a target of 100 blogs to say something on, and that’s actually type something, too. I usually comment on as many as I can but I ignore the livejournals as I don’t have a login and it won’t let you comment, and I also steer well clear of myspace.

I have the new Rockstar:Supernova CD, I really like it.
