Weekly Wrap Up 26/08/07
During the week I spotted this incredible shot in my sidebar from airliners.net - all I can say is WOW. Look at the people ducking under the plane! The wake turbulence from a plane that big flying over your head that low.. it must have been an incredible experience.
Here’s another shot taken just seconds later from a different angle, see all the sand getting kicked up from the wake turbulence? That’s one heck of a way to exfoliate.

Hi Snoskred! Love your weekly wrap ups and spend heaps of time checking out stuff I missed, dont know how you keep on top of it all - but Well done!
Just so you know, I love love love this weekly wrap up you do. I often end up frittering away over an hour checking out the interesting links. Thanks and keep it up!
I just want to tell you also that I really enjoy your weekly wrap-ups!
By the airport here in Las Vegas, there’s a parking lot with a great view of the 7/25 runways. Lots of times (in the cooler weather of course) there will be some photographers out there. I’ve become acquainted with them, and they told me they put their photos on JetPhotos.net. I looked around on that site, and found some amazing photos - at the same airport of the ones you posted! I’m not much of a beach bum and I have no desire to go to the Caribbean, but I do want to go to St. Maarten just to visit that beach and see some way cool up close landings.
Lavender - I just try to be organised with copying the links and titles across as soon as I know they belong in the wrap up.
Tornwordo - Thanks!
I wrote a great article on how to make your own wrap ups, maybe you should consider giving it a try? It doesn’t have to be weekly.
Daisy - Thanks!
Kirsten - I am one of those people who hangs out near runways taking photos. That is, when we can get into the city to be near the runway.
I also want to get to that beach.. it looks incredible and when you add planes into the equation, how couls I resist it?
Thanks for the comments all!
