getting somewhere.. and things will become less busy.. you find new and interesting ways to take up all your time space. ;) I want to take a lesson from the chickens – look only at what is in front of you, forget the past, forget the future, just deal with now.
We’ve been wrangling with our new posting plugin on the website. Everything needs sizes added and weights, so the website can work out what package to put things into, and then automatically generate those packages. Once I get all of that information added it will take a lot of work from my shoulders but.. it is a long process. We have hundreds of items that we sell.
Well I did get a whole day off last week. I went to craft, then to lunch, then determinedly did no work when I returned home.
I had orders to pack and post, I did not do it. The Other Half always says to me – you don’t have to post things the minute they are ordered. Well I know I don’t have to but I like to. It does make better sense to do posting in batches, for sure.
I’m not going to jinx myself anymore by saying I will have time to do things. I simply won’t no matter how much I automate or get better processes for. This business is time consuming and that is just the way it is. This is our new normal. I’ve got to accept it. ;)
How is everyone else doing? I am at least managing to read most of your blogs. I open windows to leave a comment but get sidetracked before I tend to manage it. Sorry! ;)

It is a while since written a fowl post. Sorry. I hope things remain manageable for you. The last thing you want is to get to the point of needing outside help.
I remember reading somewhere that one of the early Kings of England – was it Alfred the Great? I’m not sure – divided the day into three parts: One for business; one for pleasure; and one for sleep. That was a wise man.
From your description, you are in danger of business taking over all of your life and while you can keep up that pace for a while, you will eventually run into the wall (euphemistically speaking). You need to follow Alfred and schedule regular breaks for fun and rest.
Forgive me for talking to you like a Dutch uncle but it is my concern speaking. By all means delete and ignore :)
Good for you actually avoiding work for an entire day! All’s well here (HAH). Bad attitude. Feeling more and more anti-social. Last week learned of an enormous tax debt. And, still, the sun is shining.
I’m the same way as you, except with bills. I pay them when I get them because it feels like less pressure than waiting until a whole bunch of them are due. Busy can be good!
Is this going to let me comment?
Yay, something was fixed and it is letting me comment. Woooooot! I think you are kinda like me and want to stay on top of things before it gets out of control. It always good to prioritize but sometimes we need some down time. Take care.
I finished the diamond dotz painting you gave me! I just got into the zone and sat there, listening to an audiobook until it was all done.
It was a good way to start the school holidays – thanks so much.
Hope you two are doing well and not working too hard!!
I am so glad you enjoyed it :) I got to take a little day off yesterday and I did a bookmark it was so pretty!
