Welcome to my feedreader, bloggers.

There are 37 of you. In my internet travels I found my way to your blog, often because I read a blogger who linked to you. I liked your blog a lot. While there, I probably read back about 40+ posts or so. Then I added you to my feedreader..

Most of you will know what a feedreader is, but in case you do not, click here for info. The quick run down – it is an awesome program which collects new articles that bloggers post. So when you post something new, I get a copy, and if I have the time and something to say, I will click through and comment. If you want to get a feed reader, I highly recommend Inoreader, which I have been using a lot lately.

At the end of 6 months or so, if I am still loving your blog as much as I did when I added you to my feed reader, I will add you to my permanent blogroll. YAY!

Why did I unsubscribe from 20 of the 45 blogs? Some of the reasons are as follows listed in no particular order – taken from my blog posts 14 Reasons and 10 New Reasons I unsubscribed from blogs.

Where Are You? I’m Not Feeling It. I’m Waiting. They Told Me They Were Quitting. Blogs With A Partial Feed. They Became Brainwashed.

A Note About Next Month.

In November last year I participated in NaBloPoMo as well as Nano Poblano and I did a commenting challenge. By the end of November I had added 133 new blogs to the feed reader. I’m going to be pretty ruthless in extracting the gems out of this list and creating folders with a more manageable number of blogs and I have to be totally honest with you – I am really looking forward to doing this, because some of these bloggers have turned out to be a bit annoying.. :(

Is your blog not found on the blogroll or in the recent new feeds posts? Would you like Snoskred to test drive your blog? Email Snoskred via the contact page and Snoskred will add your blog to her feed reader. :)

November New Reads

book-stack

There are 133 blogs listed below.. to those blogs I will like to say –

Welcome to my feedreader, bloggers!

During the past month I found your blog, and I liked your blog a lot. While there, I probably read back about 40+ posts or so. Then I added you to my feedreader.

YAY!

Please Note –

WordPress has declared me a spammer due to my November commenting challenge, which really sucks. So I may have left you a comment but you cannot see it – it is in your spam bin. Here is how to check your spam bin, which you should do regularly in any case! :)

spam1

In your wordpress dashboard, click on Comments – this will open the comments screen.

spam2

See where it says spam – if there is a number there, you have comments waiting to be assessed by you, the blog author. You get to decide whether these comments are spam or not.

spam3

If you click on the box, you can then choose to delete permanently or declare these comments as not spam. Pretty please remove mine from the spam bin – the more people who do that, the less likely I will end up in there again.

Welcome to my feedreader, bloggers! There are 45 of you. In my internet travels I found my way to your blog, often because I read a blogger who linked to you. I liked your blog a lot. While there, I probably read back about 40+ posts or so. Then I added you to my feedreader.

Most of you will know what a feedreader is, but in case you do not, click here for info. The quick run down – it is an awesome program which collects new articles that bloggers post. So when you post something new, I get a copy, and if I have the time and something to say, I will click through and comment.

At the end of 6 months or so, if I am still loving your blog as much as I did when I added you to my feed reader, I will add you to my permanent blogroll. YAY!

Please note :

Blogger and Google are doing a weird thing where they change the URL to be .com.au because I am from Australia and I am signed in to my gmail account. I think I caught all the ones that it changed on me, but if your URL is incorrectly listed here, please let me know in the comments and I will correct it. Obviously, you want all links to your blog to be to your actual blog URL and not one in a totally different country you do not live in!

I think this is yet another reason to kiss Blogger goodbye and go looking for a new, more stable, less run by Google and therefore subject to being deaded at any time, like Google Reader, Feedburner, and a long list of other Google projects they bought and then killed off.. :( You simply cannot rely on Google long term. I recommend wordpress.com as a starting point. WordPress are all about blogging, and not about being all things to all people like Google are.

New Feeds August

book-stack_433x500

It has been a massive month of adding blogs to the feedreader. YAY!

I am trying to say hi via comments to all the blogs listed below – if I have not got to your blog yet my apologies. :)

If you have arrived here because your blog is linked below, you might want to read my thoughts for bloggers which was posted yesterday. You might find none of it applies to you, you might find a little nugget there to take away and use. :)

New Blogs In August –

You’ll notice a bit of a fashion blog trend this month. People, out there in the world there is quite a movement afoot of fashion bloggers and more specifically curvy fashion bloggers. The more of them I add to my feed reader, the more I feel a balance of the images I am seeing on a daily basis shift in the direction of reality – people who look more like me and the people around me – rather than 95% stick thin celebrities and models and 5% real people.

Two Lists –

I’ve separated the Australian Blogs into a different list from the international blogs. I may have sometimes got it wrong – this might be because the general location of where a blogger lives was not on the about page, nor was it evident in the posts, or it might be that I missed seeing it. As I said, a lot of reading was going on. :)

If you are on the wrong list, let me know in the comments for this post.

Why two lists? Generally to make the sorting things into folders at a later date easier.

All blogs added this month went into two separate folders in my feed reader – as you see –

august

Blogs I add in September – October – November – etc – will also go into two separate, new folders. After 6 months, I will go through the blogs in these folders and make a decision on whether I want to keep reading them long term, and then they will get added into my permanent folders – and added permanently to the blogroll here on Life In The Country. :)

Enough with the typing, here are the blogs!

Welcome to my feedreader, bloggers! There are 23 of you which represents 9 days worth of travelling the web and getting lost along the way but eventually finding my way to your blog, which I liked a lot. While there, I probably read back about 40+ posts or so.

At the end of 6 months or so, if I am still loving your blog as much as I did when I added you, I will add you to my blogroll. YAY!

Most of you will know what a feedreader is, but in case you do not, click here for info. The quick run down – it is an awesome program which collects new articles that bloggers post. So when you post something new, I get a copy, and if I have the time and something to say, I will click through and comment.

This month as I only just updated the blogroll on the 20th of July, these are new reads added to the feedreader in the past 9 days. If you are not listed here but I commented on your blog in the past 24-48 hours or so, check back late August and you will see your blog listed. :)

If you are looking for a feedreader for yourself, I’m not especially familiar with the latest ones out there as I use a home made version on our personal server, but maybe some of the commentors here can chime in with what they are using. :)
