Song For Today - Sunday 6th January

Robbie Williams And Kylie Minogue

Press be asking do I care for sodomy
I don’t know, yeah, probably
I’ve been looking for serial monogamy
Not some bird that looks like Billy Connolly

Kids - Robbie Williams & Kylie Minogue

Whether or not Robbie is straight or gay or a bit of both is a popular topic in the british tabloids. He occasionally refers to it in his songs (”These are strange days we’re livin’ in today - Am I straight or gay” - Old Before I Die) but this lyric from his rap in Kids is an example of his cheeky sense of humor that often shows up in his lyrics.

Which way he swings is not of much importance to me - I’m a fan of his music, not trying to shag him. The topic keeps being raised by the press when they need a story to write about and this has been an old reliable one for them in the tabloids over the years, especially when Robbie moved a good male friend of his into the house. I wish the press would quit - why don’t they discuss their own goings on behind closed doors? Oh, that’s right - nobody cares about them.. ;)

I love this song. And you’re right; who cares wether Robbie is straight or gay. I like his music and from what I can tell the man himself seems like a pretty straight forward guy.
