It’s A Long Way To The Top If You Wanna Rock And Roll - AC/DC

This may well be the only hard rock song that involves the bagpipes, I’ve never heard them in another song. But because my family is originally from Scotland, I love those things and therefore I love this song. Also it was released in the year I was born. I am secretly a huge AC/DC fan, but not in its current incarnation. I prefer Bon Scott as the lead singer - he unfortunately died in 1980.

    My 2 friends and I performed this song with our ukuleles. We tried it for ages in the original format then ended up rearranging it slightly. For the bagpipes we used a kazoo which went down really well. It was good fun doing it.

    Well, I’m no fan of AC/DC, just think some of their songs are great, but I’m a HUGE fan of Scotland! We’ve been there twice and LOVED it. Some day we’ll go back again, there really is so much to experience over there! It’s so beautiful everywhere, even more green than Ireland, not to mention the Highlands! Spectacular. And the Scots are real nice people, so friendly, polite and helpful.

    Now, that wasn’t what I came by to say…. *giggles* I came here because I read your comment on Suburban Oblivion:
