Blue and Gold Macaw

I used to worry about the future
But then I throw my caution to the wind

Canned Heat – Jamiroquai

A lot of people say bad things about Jason Kay from Jamiroquai. You’ll hear stuff like he’s egotistical and up himself blah blah. Do I care about that? Not one iota. I know he can sing, and he can REALLY dance. Jamiroquai have a huge catalog of brilliant music and if you have never heard of them it is time you did.

Ive heard of Jamiroquai, even bought my youngest a cd for christmas one year, but I’ve never listened to the music. Maybe I should. It would probably take him 6 months to sift through his junk and find it, but I’ll ask if I can borrow it…

Jamiroquai is a classic example of how marginalized acid jazz is in the United States, but it is also a model of what Americans should be exposed to in order to get them groovin’ in the right direction. If you like “Canned Heat,” you’re going to enjoy the album, “Synkronized.” And may I suggest other noteworthy groups such as Count Basic and James Taylor Quartet?
