The Greatest View - Silverchair

This song has become a bit of an Aussie Anthem - you always hear the chorus part played at the fireworks shows on New Years Eve and Australia Day. Silverchair have been compared to many overseas bands over the years by people trying to describe their music to other people but they are their own band. They don’t really fit into any specific category of music either. They’re not quite heavy metal, they’re not quite punk, they’re not quite rock but there are elements of all of those genres of music within different songs of theirs. They have been one of my favourite Australian bands for many years now.

    Ah, another of the groups you showed me the way to; in fact, I still remember you telling me to remember these specific lyrics. ;)

    They’ve done some awesome stuff, and their latest album is damn good as well :)

    Great band. I love the song ‘Abuse Me’ and ‘Learn to hate’. I know them songs are a bit angry but I was a teenager when they were first around.
