Thanks for visiting! I live in Mississippi, so in a small town. Of course. I like the small town an awful lot. It's been likened to Pleasantville. Sorta.

Thanks for heads up about the blog commenting challenge - I am all over that! What a great idea.

This was so interesting. I have always wanted to visit the Great Barrier Reef, so it was very hard to get past that point.

I love small towns and big cities, but rather dislike suburbs, which don't seem to offer any of the advantages of either.

You probably needn't worry that you will get lost in the crowd. The important lessons always stay with us so they can be adapted to new situations, and I'm sure you will do that. Generally, any proposal that would eliminate fireworks should be voted down.

Hi Kin, interesting post. I'd love to live in a small town, if only to get away from the noise of the city, but for now I'm stuck in Adelaide and I'll be here for some time. When I reach retirement age I may look into small towns and find somewhere to live out my days peacefully. Maybe even get more involved in community projects and such. I won't do that here in the city. I'd feel more comfortable doing things like that in a small town I think.

I don't know how I'd go moving back to the city now either. I guess maybe you adapt. But I do prefer the country atmosphere.

We have small town politics out here. I'm just not so sure it's applied for the "greater good". It's more about a select few thinking they "own" the town and should always get their own way!
