Hazy Shade Of Winter – The Bangles

(You probably know The Bangles for their song Eternal Flame, or perhaps Walk Like An Egyptian. This particular track was featured in one of my all time favourite movies, Less Than Zero. It is a cover of the song by Simon and Garfunkel.)

    I haven’t heard of that song. I’ll track it down and have a listen on the weekend. I’ve been rebuilding hopes for years. So long in fact it’s almost second nature now. A dream dies, I cry a bit, get over it and start again.
    And I love that photo. Sunsets on the water are beautiful aren’t they? Oh, and “Sipowicz” was in a music clip with the Dixie Chicks, the song is called Goodbye Earl. One of my favourites.

    I love the S&G version of this. And the Bangles version.

    But my favorite Bangles song is still Manic Monday.

    Maybe you should be sitting down when I say this ;)

    I have actually heard this song before – they used to play it on the radio when they’d do their days of 80s music and hours of 80s music as well…of course, now they do hours of 90s music, and the Friday Flashbacks have all but disappeared…getting a younger demographic I guess ;)
