That’s a beautiful bird. Is it an Emerald Dove? The picture in our bird book looks very similar, but it’s a back view so the front colours are not at all visible.

Totally off subject here but just had to tell you. My cherries are ripening!! I’m so excited. Last year my tree produced one cherry, this year it has about 15 clusters that were still green last week and when I glanced out of the window on Sunday afternoon lots of them were yellow and some were pale red. Woo-hoo!! Is there any way to get a mobile phone photo onto the computer so I can share the pictures I took?

Hi. this is thirtysomething-greenblogger. I clicked over from my blog, the one in your scam link, in your first paragraph above - from Christine. I much appreciate your support and comments on my blog concerning the scam that happened to me. I would love to post your comments on my blog as a post, but am actually unsure of how to perform the html. If you could, please email me at my blog and explain to me, then I will gladly attach your info to my post for today. THe support has been overwhelming from folks and I want to pass on any info I can so this doesn’t happen to someone else.
    Thanks!

River - You can use a hosting service like photobucket or ImageShack to host the photos for free (ImageShack doesn’t require registration last time I checked as well), and then you can copy the “link for friends” code and post it here. I know that before I got access to some proper hosting, I used ImageShack quite extensively :)

Thirtysomething - Snos posted a link to the actual code for that post in the post itself; to post it on blogger, all you have to do is this -

    1. Save the file to your computer and open it in notepad or editpad, or whatever text editor you like to use
    2. Open your browser to the new post page on Blogger
    3. Switch the editor to “Edit HTML” mode, instead of compose.
    4. Copy the entire text from your text editor
    5. Paste it into Blogger’s edit window
    6. Title your post
    7. Post.

Snos asked that I help out with this for you; I hope it helps :)

[…] I noticed a comment on Snoskred’s blog from River, who was asking about how she could get her photos on the web for everyone to see. […]
