Well, thanks for that. I have a little skype icon down on my task bar and didn’t know what it was for. Now I know that skype is a communication system. I still won’t use it though since I’m lousy at communication. I actually dislike talking to people, can you believe that? With text messages to friends and family members I’m okay. Face to face or phone? Forget it! I can’t think fast enough to answer sensibly and then I start to feel stupid, even though I know I’m not.

Ah Skype - keeps me in touch with the boy.. 2 more months until I’m over there too, then I’m handing my headphones over to mum - must teach her how to use it first!

Forest - back in the early days of our relationship we used ICQ, which was just text messaging. I guess that was a long time ago, and the internet has come a long way baby!

Chani - the majority of government departments here in Australia are all using VOIP instead of normal telephone lines now. The sound quality is just as good as a normal phone - sometimes much better.

As I commented over at Sephy, Skype played an important role in helping my wonderful relationship along in it’s early days,

I thanks it very much for that. Nothing beats seeing a person for real but it is a good half way choice to use the video chat.
