Wednesday 18th July - Thought For Today

Without goals, and plans to reach them, you are like a ship that has set sail with no destination.

First you write down your goal; your second job is to break down your goal into a series of steps, beginning with steps which are absurdly easy.

Some people, in working towards a goal, find themselves seized by inertia when it comes time for action. If this should happen to you, despite the small graduated steps, then it is time to re examine your goal. Consider how important it actually is and then either discard the goal and replace it with more suitable one or continue the steps with a renewed sense of the value of achieving it.

At first i was totally baffled how you can have a july 18th post when it is only july 17th. then I realized that you are on the other side of the world. duh.

Love this thought, BTW. I am starting Weight Watchers soon and so need to think of what lies ahead in terms of small steps, but I cannot forget action–so important!

That is good thoughts. In the business world, you have big goal. However, you have to change it accordingly. Things change around and people change around. If you don’t act fast, you will get lost.

    Great post!

Christine - I have such trouble working out what time it is in various places.. and just when I’ve spent six months getting into a routine and I know essentially what time my online friends are around, and what time people blog etc, daylight savings appears and then I am lost again! :)

Terence - Yes, you sometimes have to revise your goals too. Thanks for dropping by and saying hi! ;)
