Blogging Chicks Comment Challenge.

I mentioned yesterday that I was setting myself a new blog commenting task.

So, there’s apparently 820 blogging chicks blogs. If I comment on 10 per day, this will take me 82 days. :) Just under three months. And, during that time surely more will be added to the blogroll.

I really don’t think I have the time for an all out comment assault like NaBloPoMo was, where I was doing 100 comments a day. Even 20 might be a stretch at the moment given everything on my plate. However, if I push myself to do 100 a day it will take me 9 days which is much more reasonable to me. I’ll have to see how it goes. I want to be able to keep on top of all my other projects as well – and keep up with my art, and watch at least two West Wing episodes a day.

If you are a blogging chick who has arrived here after I have commented on your blog and you would like to try challenging yourself to comment, you might want to bookmark this page – it has all the current blogs on it. Once you click on a link, it should change color which makes it easier to keep up with who you’ve read.

And, in honor of Paris Hilton going to prison, here’s a lovely a-ha song named Cosy Prisons which almost could have been written about her if you listen to the lyrics. ;) Enjoy! But be warned, once this song gets inside your head it’s going to be there for a while.. ;)

Remember what I said here about an a-ha secret? :) I liked the light show on this one though, and I already posted the live version of this song before.

Morten Harket from a-ha is on the list of men I love to watch, keep an eye out for that post coming to you as a surprise soon.. ;) I almost did it today but got sidetracked, the a-ha DVD’s are sitting here on my desk so I can take my own screenshots.

  1. Wow, quite a project. I’m curious what art you do?

I’m finishing my exams next week Monday and it will be great to check out some new blogs.

  2. Thanks for commenting on my site & the words of encouragement! I hope ATM was good. Hell’s Kitchen was just what I needed. :)

  3. I’m new to the art thing and for the most part am pretty bad at it but I’ve had some success splashing paint around. Down the page a bit (a fair bit, gee I write long posts!) there’s a few examples of what I’ve been up to, I should take pics and put them in a flickr badge in the sidebar.. ;)

Jessica – ATM was brilliant, exactly what I needed however it was a live finale and there seemed to be some major issues with the production, like filming the hosts without them knowing they were live and they were just chatting. So that made it even more funny.. ;)

Next week we get the latest cycle of America’s Next Top Model. I love me some Tyra.. ;)

Thanks for dropping by ya’all ;)

  4. Oh my. That aha song was good and the lead singer (is that Morten Harket?)is SO yummy!

And , yes it is now stuck in my head!

  5. Hi, snoksred – nice to meet you, and thanks for visiting. I have added you to my Bloglines, and will look forward to your updates. Loving the saga of your sister, the beeyotch and et al, whether one is supposed to ‘enjoy’ it, or not. :-)

    Cheers,
    Julie

  6. You’ve inspired me. I will attempt to leave comments on five new blogs a day. :) That is probably about the best I can imagine.

This morning, I did more.. but that won’t be possible every day. Yeeks!

Favorite Aha! song is still “Take On Me” :)

    Peace,

    ~Chani (again)

  7. Christine – Yes, Morten is lovely to look at. I’m going to do the men we love to watch post about him over the next few days, if I get time.

a-ha did have an album called “how can i sleep with your voice in my head” and their songs do get stuck in my head often. Cosy Prisons was there for a couple of weeks the last time I posted it. Now I have Holy Ground in there. I’ll try and post it if I can.

Lori – I love Velvet, too. The video clip is really quite morbid but done with humor. It’s on you tube, I’ve put it here before too.

Julie, thanks for adding me to your bloglines ;) and updates will certainly come to you. I’m finding it hard to blog just once a day right now. ;)

Chani, scammers are everywhere and this seems to be yet another example of one. India is now a hotspot for the Nigerian scammers but this one doesn’t look like them, it just looks like someone trying to get high on search engines and stuff so that they can earn money from their site down the track.

We’re going to see more and more of this as the earn money from your blog phenomenon sweeps the blogging world. Not that there’s anything wrong with making money from your blog – but only if you do it legitimately. (and I posted that over there, too. :) )

Gabrielle, thanks for dropping by :)

Jen – I love a challenge. I’m just not sure I have as much time for this one as I’m going to need, at the moment. Too much stuff not enough time. :)

  8. What a great idea! I was doing pretty good visiting and comment daily on new blogs, then I suddenly had to have surgery not once, but twice in March. I’m trying to get back up to speed on my blogging! I sure appreciate your dropping by today. I’ve been intending to visit 3 Blogging Chicks, Christian Women Online and Thursday 13ers. You have inspired me to give that a shot!
    Have a great week,

  9. That is a lot of commenting. How did you end up doing? Great song. Fits perfectly. Did you watch the MTV awards? Sarah Silverman had a great joke about Paris going to prison. They wanted to make her feel at home so they painted the bars to, um resemble certain things…Sarah was afraid the poor girl was going to chip her teeth!
