A Marilyn Moment..
It’s surprising to me that there’s a lot of people out there who have not seen Marilyn Monroe’s movies and many of those people are not aware that she *sang* and very well, too. Does this surprise you also? If you have not seen her movies, you should at the very minimum watch Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, that is my favourite one.
I was watching a doco on her last night which played this song in full, and this song has been stuck in my head all day, in particular the very ending of it. The clip might seen familiar as Madonna made her own version of it but is nowhere near as sexy in that as Marilyn was in this. Hang in there till the end, this clip is worth watching in full.

Just sayin Hi! I’m going through a non-commenting phase lately, but I still read everything!
One of my favourite Marilyn moments is “When love goes wrong, nothing goes right” in Gentleman Prefer Blondes.
In particular, the awesome harmonies in the final refrain. I can listen to that over and over and over.
Marilyn was a knock-out! I love Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and Jane Russell was great in it, too.
Funniest Marilyn film, though, is Some Like it Hot. I highly recommend it!
